This pandemic may be one of the world's most challenging experiences.
Would you agree?
Many people got sick. Many people passed away. Many people lost their jobs. Undoubtedly, all of us are greatly affected by this crisis.
It's very saddening but this was also the time when many people learned to show their love to others especially those who are in need.
Yes, all of us have needs that we need to meet. All of us are struggling but instead of focusing on our own needs, this will also be a great opportunity for us to be a blessing to other people. It is a wonderful time to show our love to others.
So here are some ways on how you can be a blessing to others:
1. Show Care and Love to your Family, Friends and Loved Ones
Imagine the time when you were too busy because of your work, how much time do you spend with your family? Now, this is a time when we are stuck at home with our family. This is also a great opportunity to maximize our time with them. Spend quality time with them. Get to know them more. May you enjoy eating, chatting, watching, and playing with them. Our family is truly one of life's biggest blessings so be grateful every day for them.
This is also a time when we have more time on the internet. Reconnect with old friends. Consistently connect with your friends and loved ones. Your simple messages like, "How are you?", "I hope you are doing well" and "I am here for you" will definitely uplift one's spirit. This is a very difficult time for all of us and we need each other's back to be able to surpass each day's trial.
2. Show your Concern to those who are in need by being a Generous and Cheerful Giver
Most of us may have been affected financially because of this pandemic but it will not hinder us from being a blessing to other people. God loves the cheerful giver and everything that we own comes from Him. God blesses us so we can be a blessing to other people. You may bless others through your extra resources, time, prayers, and love for them. May God speak and encourage you today to be a blessing to others especially to those who are in need. Any amount will surely be appreciated as long as it comes from your heart. :)
3. Be a Listening Ear and Speak Life to Others
How do you feel? You may feel sad, frustrated, anxious, or uncertain about the future. With our current state, we can experience a lot of emotions. This is also a time when we have to be careful with the words that we speak to other people. We have to be sensitive to the well-being of our family, loved ones, and others. We do not know if they are currently facing emotional struggles because of the uncertainty that this pandemic has brought to all of us.
This is a time when they need a listening ear who will patiently listen to their struggles, stories, and outburst of emotions. They need a person who will understand them and help them process their emotions. Instead of judging them on how they feel, it may be better to speak life to them. Encourage them. Appreciate them. Speak positive words to them. Remind them that there is still hope. Our words may discourage or encourage a person so I hope that we will be wise and careful enough with the words that we speak.
Before we talk, may we think first about the impact of our words. Will my words bring life or bring discouragement to someone?
4. Pray for Others and Our Situation
During this time of crisis, even if a lot of things are beyond our control, we can still hold on to God by praying and trusting Him that soon, everything will be better. He said in His Word,
"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand."
-Philippians 4:6-7
Yes, worrying is not bad but will it be helpful to us if we worry too much? Will it solve our problems? Instead of worrying, why not pray to God and ask Him for help? He is listening to our prayers. Our prayers are powerful and effective.
Also, He is a faithful and loving God who is always with us. We are not alone in our battles. He is fighting with us.
5. Experience God's Love for You
Nowadays, we are bombarded by so many news. These may be unhealthy for our health and well-being. It is also very difficult to show love to others if we don't have enough love for ourselves and from God as well. Let's go back to the ultimate source of love. Let's go back to God.
I hope and pray that you'll experience God's love for you today and the days to come. He loves you so much that Jesus died on the cross for you. Even though we are all sinners, Jesus died on the cross for us. Why? Because God loves us so much and He wants us to have a personal relationship with Him.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life." - John 3:16
May we open our hearts and mind for God and surrender everything to Him. May we turn away from our sins and old ways and turn to God so we can experience true life with Him. In this world, only God can truly satisfy us.
In this world, our greatest need is an intimate relationship with Him. Without Him, we are nothing. May we realize that we need God every day.
It is only through Jesus Christ that we can have a personal relationship with our Father again. If you haven't experienced having a personal and close relationship with God and you want Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of our life.

Would you like to fully surrender your life to Him, turn away from your sins and turn to God by accepting Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life?
If your answer is yes, you may sincerely pray this prayer to God:
Father God, I humbly come before You right now. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I have done several things that have terribly hurt You. I am truly sorry for all the things that I have done. I sincerely ask for Your forgiveness and mercy, Father God. With this, I choose to turn away from my sins and turn to You. Thank you for loving me unconditionally even if I am a sinner. Thank you for displaying your love for me and for all of us when You sent Jesus to die on the cross for me and for all of us. I really don't deserve it but You still gave Your one and only Son, Jesus for all of us. Thank you so much, Father God. Thank you for the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ and today, I decide to surrender everything to You--all aspects of my life. Today, I accept Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of my life. May You help and guard me, Father God to live a life that will bring glory and honor to You every day of my life. Thank you, Father God, for everything. Thank You for this new life and hope through Jesus. In Jesus' mighty and precious name.
