Here is a fun and creative hands-on activity to help your kindergarten students practice their CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) spelling.
Start by having your students form a circle. Then, give each student a set of CVC cards. Ask your students to look at the card and spell out the word using the apples. Once they have spelled the word, ask them to pass the card to the student next to them.
Continue this process until each student has had a chance to spell out the word. Once all the cards have gone around the circle, have your students put the cards back together to form the correct CVC words.
By doing this exercise, your students will be able to practice their CVC spelling in a fun and interactive way. It will also help them to become more familiar with the different letter combinations of CVC words.
Of course, you can also use this on independent learning!
